Connect with Trevor David

Trevor David leads a research group at the intersection of materials science and artificial intelligence, and teaches data science to physicists. He received a liberal arts education from Macalester College in St. Paul, and obtained PhD in Physics from Columbia University. Trevor David spent several years at NTT Basic research laboratories in Japan. During a research stint at the National Institute of Materials Science in Japan, he transitioned to materials informatics research - exploiting machine learning tools to perform materials research. He continued this work at Harvard University where he used machine learning tools to search for new 2D magnetic materials.

Conference Sessions

TWIMLfest  2020
This session aims to connect and advocate for physicists in data science. We will be discussing cutting-edge data science applications in physics research, data science education approaches in the physics curriculum, as well as how physicists with AI/ML experience can transfer their skill sets to careers in industry.
