Alex Havrilla is a PhD student at Georgia Tech studying generative modeling in both theory and practice. His research aims to leverage insights from both disciplines to advance each other, ultimately unifying them under a single conceptual framework. He has interned at FAIR, Microsoft, and is a cofounder of the open-source RLHF research group CarperAI.
Alex graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a joint MS/BS in Mathematics and an additional major in computer science.
